With black pepper in the seasoning salt blend, it enhances the dish, creating a comforting yet gourmet experience that’s sure to impress.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 1 cup Pecorino Romano cheese, finely grated
  • 1 tbsp Pride of India’s Seasoning Salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Pride of India’s Himalayan Salt, to taste
  • 1/2 cup pasta water

Direction

  1. Add the spaghetti to boiling salted water and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta cooking water before draining the pasta.
  2. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the Pride of India’s Seasoning Salt and toast for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. In a bowl, combine the Pecorino Romano cheese and reserved pasta water. Mix well until the cheese melts and forms a creamy sauce.
  4. Add the drained pasta to the skillet with seasoned butter. Gradually stir in the cheese sauce and toss the pasta to coat it well.
  5. Serve by twirling the pasta into a bowl, garnished with extra cheese and a sprinkle of freshly ground black pepper. Enjoy!

Celebrate this Valentine’s Day with a flavorful, aromatic Chicken Biryani, made even more special with a rich blend of spices. This easy to cook dinner recipe is  a must to share with a loved one for an unforgettable memory.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Pride of India’s Brown Basmati Rice, soaked for 30 minutes
  • 1 lb chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 2-3 tbsp Pride of India’s Biryani Masala
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cups water
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Directions

  1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil, add the soaked long grain rice, and cook until it’s 70-80% done (al dente). Drain and set aside.
  2. In a separate pan, heat olive oil. Sauté the sliced onions and cook until golden brown. Add the chicken pieces and fry until lightly golden, then add the Biryani Masala along with salt. Cook for about 5-7 mins until the chicken is half-cooked.
  3. Stir in the chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften. Add the yogurt and cook for an additional 5 minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked and the flavors meld together.
  4. In a large pot, layer the partially cooked rice over the chicken mixture. Cover the pot and cook on low heat for about 15-20 mins, allowing the flavors to combine and the rice to finish cooking.
  5. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot.

  • 2 cups Pride of India’s Garbanzo Beans (Chickpeas), soaked overnight and cooked until tender
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 cup mixed veggies (carrots, potatoes), diced
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1.5 tablespoons Biryani Masala
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 cups vegetable broth or water
  • ½ tbsp pride of India’ Seasoning Salt
  • Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish

Directions

  1. Soak the garbanzo beans overnight and cook them until tender.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown. Add the diced mixed veggies (carrots and potatoes) and cook for another 5-7 mins until softened.
  3. Stir in the biryani masala and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly to release the aromas.
  4. Add the tomato puree, coating the veggies and spices. Stir well, then pour in the broth or water.
  5. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 20-30 minutes until the stew thickens.
  6. Add the seasoning salt for extra flavor boost and garnish with fresh chopped cilantro before serving. Enjoy this aromatic, comforting stew with your extra long brown basmati rice or naan.

Directions
