How To Make Crispy Garlic Cheese Fries?

Ingredients

  • 2 potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/3-inch-thick fries
  • 1 ½ pints peanut oil
  • 2 ounces of cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp of Pride of India Garlic Fine Ground
  • 1 tbsp of vegetable oil
  • ¼ tbsp salt
  • 1/3 cup of shredded sharp cheddar

 

Directions

  • Take a bowl filled with water. Soak the potatoes for about 30 mins to remove excess starch.
  • Drain the water and pat dry the potatoes to remove extra water.
  • Heat peanut oil in a heavy stock pot or in an oven. Add the potatoes and cook it until light brown for about 4-5 mins.
  • Transfer the cooked potatoes to a paper towel-lined plate.
  • Increase oil temp. to 400°F. Add the potatoes again and cook until golden brown and crispy for about 2 mins.
  • Transfer the cooked potatoes to a paper towel-lined plate.
  • Melt the cream cheese in a small saucepan over medium-high flame. Whisk in milk, garlic fine ground, oil, and salt. Stir it until smooth.
  • Add more milk if the cheese fries sauce gets too thick.
  • Serve the fries immediately and pour the cheese sauce as per choice.
